Biography
Educated at the University of Ulster and Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
Fred
received an Arts Council Design Bursary and has been awarded Fellowship
of the Arts Foundation (Scenography)
She has designed for the RSC, Cardboard Citizens, The Almeida, Unicorn Theatre, Eastern Angles, The Watermill Theatre, The Nuffield Theatre, The Gate Theatre and The Royal National Theatre Studio, and Grid Iron. The synthesis of the ‘live’ and recorded, performer and image is also realised in spaces other than Theatre Buildings; designing for spaces that include an old hospital, Jam Factory, a mortuary, a disused brothel, Victorian labyrinthine Town Hall cellars, and a supermarket distribution complex and the biggest Potting Shed in Europe.

Timon of Athens and Pericles were exhibited at the V&A in the Society of British Theatre Designers 'Collaborators' exhibition. Warning to the Curious and Pericles designs are now part of the V&A's permanent collection
She is a senior Lecturer at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.
